About the role:
We are currently seeking a Boilermaker at our Wilpinjong mine. Our Wilpinjong mine is an open-cut mine located 58 kilometers northeast of Mudgee producing a high quality thermal coal for export and domestic markets.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor , you will complete planned and unplanned maintenance of Peabody's mining equipment as directed by the Leading Hand / Supervisor to the required standards. You will also comply with all site and statutory OH&S regulations and maintain a strong focus on safety for yourself and others including the use of site safety systems.
Duties will include: Compliance with site Safety and Health Management system requirements (including risk management, SOP's, permits, work instructions etc.). Prioritise and undertake specified and/or general work to the required standard and within timeframes. Maintain a safe, clean and healthy work environment. Minimise production downtime. Participate in and complete shift change, site meetings, communications or reporting requirements to the required standard. Actively engage in the Continuous Improvement Program. The lifestyle:

About you: Boilermaker/Engineering (Fabrication) Certificate III Trade qualification essential. Ability to produce and maintain welding standards compliant to AS1554. Ability to identify Category A, B & C Welding environments and their applicable management controls. Ability to apply and practice safety as a way of life for your commitment to work. Experience in Thermic Lancing and Air Arc Gouging processes. Experience in maintaining and servicing excavators, mobile earthmoving equipment and fixed plant. Knowledge of conducting safety inspections and completing JSEA's, Risk Assessments & Permits. A commitment to being an effective team player.
