Details of the offer

The Company
Join this innovative team of energy specialists in the pursuit of a low carbon future. Located in Southbank, the team is down to earth, friendly, customer focused and agile, with a culture that encourages work life balance and flexibility. This is a full-time role but we can consider a 4-day working week if preferred, and you'll have the opportunity to work partly from home.
The Role
Responsibilities
Covering a maternity leave, this is a fixed-term contract to June 2025. As the Payroll & Systems Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the fortnightly payroll of 110 staff, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of new starter info, leave entitlements, expenses and any anomalies. You'll be the go-to person for payroll queries and systems management (including HRIS and payroll portal), and will provide general HR support and day to day HR housekeeping for the People & Culture Manager. Your typical responsibilities will include:
Ensuring payroll requests are processed accurately and in a timely manner for the fortnightly outsourced payroll (i.e., expenses, annual leave, new starter info)
Manage payroll related queries and discrepancies
Ensure compliance with legislation and internal policies
Prepare payroll reports
Maintain the HRIS (bob) and payroll portal (SyncEzy)
Support projects teams with the management of Clockify (time recording)
Train and support staff on systems use
Provide HR admin support to the People & Culture Manager, including contract preparation, remuneration review emails, template creation, HRIS updates, etc.
Assist with the onboarding, orientation and training of new hires
Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
Support employee engagement and culture initiatives
Skills and Experience
This is a fixed-term contract role and we're looking for someone who can start as soon as possible. Ideally, you'll have combined experience in payroll processes (including managing payroll cycles and addressing payroll-related issues), along with HR admin experience (i.e., HRIS management, contract preparation, onboarding of new staff, etc).
If you're keen to combine your payroll and HR experience with a flexible, forward thinking company, we'd love to hear from you… please forward your resume as soon as possible.
