A job to be proud of: The Payroll Specialist is responsible for spearheading continuous improvement projects to streamline and successfully integrate new payroll processes and innovations. This team member will be a key contributor to the ongoing digital transformation of SJWA as it interacts with the payroll system. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will have experience working on payroll implementation, optimisation and improvements. What you'll do: Develop appropriate processes and controls for end-to-end payroll processes Collect, analyse and document both technical and business requirements, ensuring they are clearly communicated to all stakeholders Act as a specialist for the organisation in relation to payroll, superannuation, benefits and payroll compliance. Provide resolutions on complex payroll matters including mitigation of future risks Understand and consult with relevant teams on award, enterprise agreement and individually contracted employees payments, ensuring employees are paid in line with their respective terms and conditions and legislative requirements. Manage and oversee technical aspects of payroll projects, including the connection of non-technical streams to ensure key components within the project delivery align to agreed outcomes. Assist in any other area as directed by the Line Manager or delegate. What you'll need: Extensive Payroll experience within a large and complex organisation. Experience working on payroll system integration, optimisation and improvements Excellent understanding of Western Australian legislation, NES and common law Ability to manage and resolve complex payroll matters. Relevant qualification in Payroll Services, Systems or Management (desirable) 5+ years of experience in payroll processing 2+ years of experience in Process/Systems Improvement What's in it for you?
