A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Payroll Officer to join our high performing Finance team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager you will be able to hit the ground running and provide a high level of customer service to all customers and stakeholders involved in the end to end payroll process.
This role is suitable for a detail driven individual who is comfortable working in a fast paced environment and who will be responsible for ensuring Snowy Hydro employees are paid accurately and on time, every time. This role is a permanent, full time position that can, by mutual agreement, offer flexible working arrangements, as Snowy Hydro appreciates the additional value such arrangements can bring to our business and to our employees. The successful candidate can choose to work primarily from Melbourne, Sydney or Cooma.
Your key responsibilities will include: Utilising SuccessFactors to manage payroll data, maintain accurate employee records and ensure timely payroll processing, end to end. Responding in a timely manner to all payroll related queries. Monitoring and maintaining accurate records of superannuation fund membership and contributions for all superannuation fund providers and anticipating compliance obligations across multiple Enterprise Bargaining Agreements and changes relating to the payroll function. Maintaining and continuously improving payroll processes and documented procedures. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate: Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in SuccessFactors for Payroll (EC & ECP) is essential. In-depth knowledge of Australian Payroll legislation and relevant tax laws (PAYG, Payroll Tax, FBT). Strong understanding of superannuation processes, including Accumulation and Defined Benefit funds. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team who may be geographically dispersed.
