What you'll do: As a Payroll Officer, you will play an integral role in managing weekly pay runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions.
Manage one pay run each week as part of a team handling four pay runs in totalEnsure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactionsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirementsLiaise with various departments to resolve any payroll discrepanciesProvide support and advice on payroll-related queries from staffContribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll function What you bring: Proven experience in managing a partially automated payroll processAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple pay runs each weekComfortable working with systems that may not be intuitiveStrong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirementsExcellent interpersonal skills for liaising with various departmentsCommitment to continuous improvement within the payroll function What sets this company apart: This local government organisation prides itself on its commitment to serving the community.
