How will you make an impact?You'll oversee the end-to-end coordination and administration of our fortnightly payroll process and be the point of contract for all payroll related enquiries.The opportunity We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Officer to join our amazing People and Culture team. This is a key role and you will be the point of contact for all payroll related enquiries and you'll oversee the end-to-end coordination and administration of our fortnightly payroll process. This includes preparing the exception tracker and collating all necessary supporting documentation. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the HR reporting cycle, preparing dashboard reports, and contributing to broader People, Performance & Culture (PP&C) initiatives and projects as needed.Some Key Responsibilities Administering and coordinating fortnightly payroll for approximately 350 employees.Processing new starters and leavers including parental leave, termination and redundancy.Understand and perform Super and Tax calculations.Performing pay and leave entitlement reconciliations.Be the point of contact for all payroll related enquiries and communicate these effectively.Conduct month-end processing and reconcile payroll accounts (superannuation, payroll tax and leave accruals).Assisting with annual salary increase, end of month and end of financial year activities.Calculate bonuses, allowances, and ensure accurate wage and tax withholdings.Interpretation of the enterprise agreement in relation to leave entitlements, overtime, allowances and other payroll related.Coordination of salary sacrifice process.Process mapping and re-engineering of payroll processes.Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Reporting Fortnightly/Monthly HR reporting and remuneration survey data.HR metric reporting and dashboard updates.Reporting and analytics to support board and committee papers.Ongoing reconciliation of headcount in various spreadsheet.About youMinimum of 3 years' previous experience in a similar role within a corporate environment.Advance knowledge of payroll principles, tax requirements and superannuation are essential.Strong numeracy skills, with good experience working with reports and data.Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and payroll systems (experience with Preceda will be highly regarded but not essential).Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise high volumes of work, to meet deadlines.Good communication and relationship building skills with a high level of integrity and professionalism.High level of discretion in dealing with confidential information.Experience in identifying continuous improvement opportunities within current work practices.Experience in building strong relationships through the provision of timely and accurate services to internal and external clients.What can we offer you?Our employees are passionate about what we do and are proud to be part of an organisation which helps everyday Australians achieve a brighter future.
