Design & Build have partnered on one of Australia's largest Energy Projects who are seeking a motivated and experienced Payroll Manager to join their team based in Cooma.

The Payroll Manager will oversee and manage payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
Required Competencies: Extensive knowledge of payroll functions Preparation, balancing, internal control and payroll taxes Proficient with Preceda Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong supervisory and leadership skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Core Accountabilities & Responsibilities: Implement, maintain & review payroll processing system ensuring timely & accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes & other deductions Advising payroll team members about taxes & employment laws on salary Calculating wage increments, overtime payments & public holiday pay Ensures accurate & timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations & changes to pay rates Prepare & maintain accurate records & reports of payroll transactions Ensures compliance with federal, state, & local payroll, wage & hour laws & best practices Facilitate audits by providing records & documentation to auditors Identify & recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems & procedures Oversees the daily workflow of the department Provide constructive & timely performance evaluations Qualifications & Experience: Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field Minimum 10+ years' experience in Payroll Proficient with Preceda Payroll System #J-18808-Ljbffr
