The Company Located within Inner Brisbane CBD, our client in the health industry is currently seeking a Junior Payroll and Accounts Officer to assist them with process improvements.
Initially a 6-month contract with a possibility of extension or going permanent.
As a Payroll and Accounts Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees.
You will play a crucial role in maintaining payroll records, handling payroll queries, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong numerical skills and a keen eye for detail.
The Role This 6-month contract will be suitable for an immediately available or soon to be immediately available Payroll and Accounts Officer, who will report directly to the Payroll Team Leader.
This role has the potential to be extended or go permanent.
Duties include but are not limited to: Key Responsibilities: Accurately process payroll on a fortnightly and monthly basis for all employees.
End to end Accounts Receivable.
Credit card reconciliation.
Month end reporting.
Maintain and update payroll records, including employee data, salary information, and deductions.
Calculate and process leave entitlements, overtime, and other allowances.
Ensure compliance with relevant awards, agreements, and legislation.
Prepare and submit payroll reports, including superannuation, PAYG, and other statutory requirements.
Manage payroll queries and provide support to employees regarding payroll-related matters.
Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Assist in the preparation of end-of-year payroll processes, including payment summaries and annual leave reconciliations.
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Keep up to date and be able to interpret local legislations, awards and EBA's.

Skills and Experience: 1-2 years' experience within a commercial business.
Experience using MYOB and Netsuite.
(Required) Intermediate experience with Excel Eager to learn.
