The Role:
Payroll Processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of fortnightly/monthly payroll for all employees.
Data Management: Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Compliance: Ensure all payroll activities comply with federal and state regulations, including tax laws and superannuation requirements.
Issue Resolution: Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
Reporting: Assist in generating payroll reports and summaries for management review.
Reconciliation: Help reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
Continuous Improvement: Support the implementation of process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience: Previous experience in Payroll, Accounts Payable or Receivable is advantageous but not mandatory.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; familiarity with payroll software systems is advantageous.
Attention to Detail: Strong numerical aptitude and high level of accuracy.
Communication: Very good verbal and written communication skills.
Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Team Player: Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
