Role Overview UMENCO is seeking an experienced Pattern Maker for a contemporary brand whose ethos is grounded in simplicity with substance, designed for those who appreciate detail and authenticity. This brand has a growing bricks and morter presence as well as a strong online presence. The successful talent will be joining a warm, inclusive and optimistic team and will thrive in a dynamic environment driven by creativity and opportunity. 
The Patternmaker will create digital patterns from initial concepts to final specifications and spec packs. This position requires close collaborations across the business, offering technical consultancy to resolve fit or construction issues. The Patternmaker will oversee the entire process from design sketches to bulk production, ensuring that all patterns meet the brand's quality standards and are ready for in-store delivery.
The successful talent will develop new patterns for both menswear and womenswear collections, managing styles through every stage of production. Responsibilities include creating detailed spec sheets and tech packs, maintaining accurate information for suppliers, providing yield estimates and attending fit sessions to ensure final approval. The role requires managing style approvals, offering technical support throughout development and performing final quality checks before bulk production.
The ideal talent will have at least 5 years of experience in digital pattern making, a strong connection with the brand's aesthetic and proficiency in pattern making software like Lectra or Gerber. Strong organisational skills, a collaborative mindset and a commitment to mentoring junior team members are essential.
