Job Type: Contract position | Casual positionJob DescriptionThe Bloodwood Tree Association is seeking applicants for a Patrol Officer position. The Community Connect (Night Patrol) aims to improve community safety and reduce the consequences of alcohol and other drugs (AOD) by assisting Indigenous people in public places who are AOD affected or otherwise 'at-risk' of harm. The Night Patrol provides an invaluable service to the South Hedland Community by assisting those who are intoxicated, hurt, in violent situations, out on the street, and generally at-risk, taking them to a safer place.The Community Connect team patrols from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM from Monday to Saturday, assisting people at risk.Requirements:Confidence and capability of handling difficult situationsAssertive in enforcing procedures and bus rules such as bag searches, confiscation of alcohol, and dismissing aggressive clients off the busMale preferredPhysically fit and able to assist with wheelchairs, groceries, etc.CV CheckPhoto IDStrong communication skillsKnowledge of the community is desirableATSI identified
