About the Opportunity Reporting to the HR Manager, this role is responsible for supporting, coordinating and executing Rehab and Return to Work activities in line with the Terminal strategy.
This role will maintain an integrated injury and claims management strategy that encourages employees to both recover at, and return to work, while working to proactively prevent injury.
Key responsibilities include: Ensure all statutory requirements relating to worker's compensation legislation are met and implement processes to ensure continued compliance.Ensure ongoing communication regarding rehabilitation and return to work is maintained between all parties.Conduct clinical, functional, and worksite assessments and consult with relevant stakeholders to determine what is required to enable employees to return to work.Provide clear clinical direction and technical guidance to assist in successful return to work outcomes.Develop, implement, monitor, and review rehabilitation plans to achieve a recovery at work, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.Ensure all confidential information is maintained and stored to the highest level of integrity throughout the rehabilitation process.Actively work towards, identify, and implement steps to reduce lost time injuries within the Terminal.Actively manage on-site participation in recover at work plans to ensure compliance across all shifts.Attend case conferences as required to assist with injury management and achieving return to work goals.Perform on-site post injury function assessments to facilitate a worker's safe return to work.Manage the Worker's Compensation claims process, including administration of documentation with relevant stakeholders, management of payroll reporting, proactive record keeping, and attendance at quarterly claims reviews.Provide timely reporting on a range of statistics, analyse injury trends, and provide guidance on how to mitigate and manage them.Day-to-day management of site payroll procedures and employee queries.About Your Experience and Skills This role is well suited to a candidate with a tertiary qualification in exercise physiology, physiotherapy, health science, or a related discipline, however this is not essential.
