You will be responsible for ensuring accurate patient records through effective creation, storage, retention, and disposal of both medical and general records. Your attention to detail will help maintain the integrity of the information that supports patient care.
In addition to record management, you will contribute to the organization and maintenance of patient files, ensuring that all information is current and easily accessible. This critical task will help healthcare professionals provide timely and informed care to patients.
Furthermore, you will create a welcoming environment by providing friendly and efficient reception services to patients and visitors at the health unit. Your interpersonal skills will be essential in ensuring that everyone feels valued and supported during their visits, making a positive impact on their overall experience.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain an efficient patient management system by ensuring accurate data entry and adherence to reporting deadlines.Contribute to the accurate maintenance and implementation of medical records for all patients and clients at Port Lincoln Health Services.Assist in the creation, storage, retention, and confidential disposal of general and medical records, following State Records retention and disposal guidelines.Provide an efficient and accurate typing service for Port Lincoln Health Services.Ensure timely and organized filing of patient records.Manage switchboard operations, including the use of the public address system as directed.What We're Looking For:Demonstrated experience using the Microsoft Office suite effectively.Proven ability in file management and utilizing administrative and database systems.Experience working collaboratively in a team environment to achieve common goals.Understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and principles.The Region The Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) covers almost 340,000 square kilometres of spectacular South Australia, supporting about 40,000 people living around Eyre Peninsula and the Far North of the state.
