We're seeking a dedicated Patient Services Clerk to join our dynamic team at Yorke & Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN).
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients, clients, and visitors while ensuring a seamless administrative experience.About This RoleAs a Patient Services Clerk, you will be responsible for the provisional registration of all overnight and day inpatients, as well as managing planned and unplanned patient activity.
You will deliver high-quality, confidential, customer-focused administrative support to clients, staff, and visitors at Clare Hospital.
Your role will be vital in ensuring smooth operations within the Patient Services Department.
Key responsibilities include: Provisional registration of Inpatient, Outpatient, and Emergency activity.Accurate and timely processing of Outpatient and Emergency data.Providing exceptional customer service to clients, staff, and visitors.Operating the switchboard for the Health Unit and Community Health.Filing and scanning of client information within medical case notes, ensuring data integrity.Collating medical case notes on the discharge of clients from the health service.Participating in a rotating team, being proficient in all aspects of Patient Services duties.Working autonomously on particular shifts while collaborating with team members.
Essential CriteriaTo thrive in this role, you should possess: Strong organisational and multitasking skills.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with medical record management.
