Patient Care Assistant – Operating Theatres Come Join Us! This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time (with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency) and Casual Appointments.
We are looking for Patient Care Assistants to work in the Operating Theatres at Royal Perth Hospital; and who are passionate about delivering a high quality patient focused service and contributing to an organisation that makes a real difference to the lives of people in our community.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: As Patient Care Assistant you will provide support to clinical staff (Doctors, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals) by contributing to a team approach in the provision of high quality patient care.
Your duties will include patient transport, patient transfers, cleaning and restocking duties within the operating theatres.
Patient Care Assistants in Operating Theatres at Royal Perth Hospital are required to work a rotating roster of morning and afternoon shifts, weekdays and weekends.
Qualification and Experience Completion of Certificate Two or equivalent in Australian Qualification Framework or commitment to undergo training and completion of Certificate Two in a relevant field (e.g.
Community Services – Aged Care Work or Hospital-based PCA).Demonstrated competence in assisting nurses with tasks and duties related to the care of patients within the Perioperative Department.Demonstrated knowledge in manual handling principles and techniques.Demonstrated effective communication skills.Extensive experience in working as a part of a team.Demonstrated initiative and ability to manage time and to prioritise tasks.Royal Perth Hospital Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) is Perth's inner city, tertiary adult hospital and part of the Royal Perth Bentley Group.
