About the Role We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Outreach Counsellor with prior experience in case management, skilled at supporting at-risk youth aged 12 to 18 and their families facing various challenges such as homelessness, family conflict, and substance abuse.
This position is permanent full-time based in Mirrabooka.
The position is working with young people, implementing early intervention strategies to prevent risks escalating with view to divert youth away from high-risk situations.
Provide one-on-one counselling for young people at risk and their parents (carers, grandparents, or guardians).
Facilitate a variety of group education sessions for adolescents.
Work with young people from relevant locations including - their home, in school and after school care settings.
Selection Criteria: Recognised tertiary level qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or other related disciplines.
Diploma qualified with extensive experience may be considered.
C class driver's licence.
Working with Children Check.
National Police Certificate.
Demonstrated experience in intake, assessment, and case management.
Knowledge and experience in early intervention and prevention program services.
Demonstrated ability to deliver and evaluate personal and relationship education programs relevant to children.
Must be able to work autonomously.
Strong professional boundaries.
Ability to work within a team and get along well with others.
