Seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic professional with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service to join our dynamic team on a permanent part-time basis (minimum 30 hours/fortnight).
About The Role
We are seeking applicants who have a keen interest in working as a Patient Administration Officer, primarily performing a Ward Clerk role.
This opportunity will be based in the Day Oncology Unit, with the expectation that the successful candidate will also undertake administrative duties within other areas of the Hospital as required to meet the needs of the business.
This job-shared role is to initially provide cover for long service leave for a 6-month period every Monday and Tuesday, and ideally have availability on other weekdays for occasional periods where our other ward clerk becomes unavailable. There will be opportunity to work in other administrative roles in the hospital on additional days, as well as beyond this 6-month period.
Key Role Responsibilities
Provide timely and accurate information in response to queries by patients, doctors, visitors and other customers.Maintain correct compilation of patient files and records throughout admission and upon discharge.Accurate and timely completion and scanning of documentation.Perform and interpret Health Fund eligibility checks.Provide effective management of incoming and outgoing calls to the ward.Provide administrative support to relevant ward personnel as required.Other duties as required.Your Essential Skills And Experience
Experience in previous hospital or similar administration role (preferred not essential).Be passionate, engaging and focused on providing exceptional customer service and sensitivity to patient & family needs.Effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.Strong attention to detail.Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks within a designated timeframe.Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft programs and Patient Management software.If this sounds like the opportunity for you, submit your application today!
Remuneration
On offer is a base hourly rate starting from $31.49 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements
