The Royal Children's Hospital's (RCH) Vision is "A world where all kids thrive".
RCH is a cornerstone member of the Melbourne Children's Campus, partnering with Murdoch Children's Research Institute, The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics and The Royal Children's Hospital Foundation.
RCH has cared for the children and young people of Victoria for more than 150 years since it was founded in 1870. A full range of paediatrics and adolescent health services are provided plus tertiary and quaternary care for the most critically ill and medically complex patients in Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and other states around Australia and overseas. Part Time – 48 hours Fixed term till 8/12/2025Hub of medical precinct in Parkville, MelbourneChallenging and rewarding work environmentFriendly and supportive team environmentAbout the Role This is a Part Time Fixed Term position at 48 hours per fortnight within the Laboratory Services – Pathology Collection team. You will be responsible for providing collection service for both inpatients and outpatients at both The Royal Women's and the Royal Children's Hospital. This service also provides a collection service for VCGS and other external Medical practitioners.
Classification for this position will range from IN24- IN27 (base salary 62,540.40 - 71,141.20 per annum, plus superannuation)
What you'll achieve: Develop and maintain a high standard of Pathology collection service and customer service - respecting the wishes of child, parent, and caregiver.Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of departmental policies and procedures and Hospital Policy and ProceduresProvide a safe and comfortable environment for staff, patients, and carers.Your skills and experience Certificate III or IV in Pathology CollectionPrevious 3 years' experience in Public or Private Pathology Collection desirable but not essentialIf this sounds like you, click here to view the position description.
About the Department Pathology Collection is an integral part of Laboratory Services – RCH Pathology. Pathology collection provides collection service for both inpatients and outpatients at The Royal Women's and the Royal Children's Hospital.
