The Pastry Cook reports directly to the Pastry Sous Chef and offers an energetic and exciting hands-on approach to flawless product execution in an environment focused on safety and culinary excellence.

A few of your responsibilities:
Assist with fundamental cooking and food preparation tasks.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workstations.
Complete all duties in line with company and statutory hygiene requirements.
Meet requirements for consistency and high quality in a fast-paced environment.
What are we looking for:
Proficiency with diverse food preparation techniques and cooking equipment.
Minimum 1 year of experience in pastry or bakery preparation, preferably in a café, hotels or high-volume setting, with strong communication skills and understanding of relevant liquor laws.
Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
About You:
You are a versatile and adaptable pastry cook with a strong foundation in food preparation, able to seamlessly transition between different kitchen environments.
With 2-3 years of experience in high-volume settings, you thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining a keen eye for detail and quality.
Your exceptional communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively with customers, co-workers, and management.
You bring a proactive, positive attitude to every task and are committed to consistently delivering high standards.
