Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef is located in the heart of Queensland's Whitsunday Islands and the gateway to the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef. With stunning views out to the impossibly blue waters of the Whitsundays, it is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the island.
The island is one of the closest Whitsunday islands to the mainland (Airlie Beach) with a spectacular 30-minute ferry ride to work each day.
Job Description The ideal candidate will be passionate about baking and possess strong technical skills that elevate our guests' dining experience.
Creating pastry items and pizza dough. Maintaining a clean and organized work area, following food safety and sanitation guidelines. Assisting with inventory management and ordering of baking supplies. This is a live-off island role commuting daily via the ferry to Daydream.
Desired Skills and Experience Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and a creative approach to dessert creation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Holds a Cert III in Commercial Cookery or Pastry Qualification. #J-18808-Ljbffr
