The Army Reserve has a range of part-time trade roles available offering a flexible time commitment. Whether you're a qualified Carpenter, Plumber or Electrician, you will use your existing skillset to aid the efforts of the Army Reserve, all while gaining new skills that will help you progress in your civilian career. Trade roles are utilised to provide electricity, food, shelter and water to troops while on military exercises and on base. These jobs are crucial in providing the core infrastructure for the broader Army Reserve to assist the community. Why join the Army Reserve? On completion of your initial military and employment training, you could earn at least $201/day tax-free. Additional amounts are paid for time spent on exercises and deployments. Location You will train for 3 weeks in Wagga Wagga, NSW. Following your training, you will be posted to an Army unit close to where you live. Entry Requirements For this role, you must be over 17 at time of enlistment and have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics. You must also be an Australian citizen and able to successfully obtain a security clearance.
