The Manager of Parking Services will oversee the strategic and operational management of Hobart's parking systems, including on-street, off-street, and temporary parking. The position will lead a dedicated team, manage a significant operational budget, and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the city's parking services support urban mobility, economic growth, and community needs.
Role accountabilities include: Lead the strategic and operational management of Hobart's on-street, off-street, and temporary parking services.Develop and implement parking strategies that align with the City's goals and the needs of residents, visitors, and businesses.Collaborate with stakeholders, including public transport providers and local businesses, to ensure parking services contribute to the overall transportation system and economic development.Oversee parking assets, including multi-story car parks, permits, and enforcement technology, ensuring they meet current and future demands.Manage contracts, vendor relationships, and lease agreements to deliver cost-effective and compliant parking services.Drive innovation in parking management, integrating new technologies and business models to improve the customer experience.Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the Parking Services Team and across networks.You are a results-driven leader with extensive experience in managing complex operations and teams. With a background in public services, business, or related fields, you excel at strategic planning, problem-solving, and fostering collaboration across diverse stakeholders. You bring a proven ability to lead through change, implement innovative solutions, and deliver high-quality, customer-focused services. Your strong interpersonal and leadership skills, combined with a passion for urban development, make you the ideal candidate to drive the future of Hobart's parking services.
