ABOUT CANNINGTON Our Cannington operation is one of the world's largest producers of silver and lead. Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville.
Flights are direct to the onsite airport, and the mine is only 3.5 km from camp—the perfect distance for a sunset walk or run home along a purpose-built walking track. The onsite accommodation includes meal services, sports/gym facilities, swimming pool, music room, and social area.

ABOUT THE ROLE This role is a permanent position on 8:6 roster FIFO from Townsville, Cairns and Brisbane or DIDO from Mount Isa.
As the Nurse you will provide on-site primary healthcare and emergency medical treatment on a remote FIFO site with no Doctor or Medical Clinic / Hospital nearby.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
Liaise with On Call Emergency Triage Doctor, Emergency Response Team (taking a directing role in a multi-person incident), Health & Injury Prevention Specialist and allied health professionals. Assist with health surveillance activities including conducting audiometric and spirometry testing. Participate in emergency response team (ERT) training where appropriate including provision of training to ERT in clinic support, injury management in the field and the like. Ensure details of work-related and non-work-related health interactions and any test results are recorded in Health Database. Treat and manage work-related and non-work-related injuries/illnesses. Coordinate RFDS aeromedical retrievals. ABOUT YOU You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
5-7 years remote/isolated nursing experience. Emergency Remote Care. Bachelor of Nursing/ Bachelor of Science (Nursing). Registered Nurse with AHPRA. Current Driver's License. HLTPAT005 – Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing. ALS (Advanced Life Support) certificate. Audiometry and Spirometry Testing (desirable). Cert IV Trainer and Assessor (desirable).
