Job Description The role We have one of the world's leading litigation and dispute resolution (L&DR) practices specialising in complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation, international arbitration and regulatory investigations around the globe. Our team in Australia is one of the country's leading litigation and dispute resolution teams and has overseen many of the most complex corporate cases and arbitrations in the market in recent years.
Our team in Perth is seeking a highly motivated Paralegal on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will assist the team on a variety of complex construction disputes and international arbitrations.
Key Responsibilities Assisting the dispute resolution team with the preparation of documents and progression of matters.Attending to filing of Court documents with the Federal and Supreme Courts.Assisting with preparation of Briefs to Counsel and delivery of Briefs.Assisting with taking documents to Court (including using a trolley).Attending to logistics for Court, including ordering transcripts, preparing summaries, and other related matters.Assisting lawyers with legal research, including with requests from our global offices, and preparing accurate and concise summaries.Assisting with document and file management.Attending to document review and discovery processes.Assisting with other ad hoc legal and non-legal tasks as and when requested by Partners/senior associates, including from other practice areas.Assisting administration staff from time to time. Qualifications Your experience Bachelor Degree in law.Prior paralegal experience at a law firm preferred.Strong work ethic.Self-motivation and drive to go above-and-beyond.Strong team player and focus on helping colleagues.  Strong ability in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and comfortable with IT systems.Excellent attention to detail.Strong research skills and ability to identify legal issues.
