About the Role: A new opportunity for a Paralegal has been created to support the continued growth of our Criminal Team! You will be confident working autonomously and be able to prioritise your tasks effectively in a fast-paced and varied environment. You will have a proactive approach to your work, collaborating with the Lawyers and senior team members on site to ensure we continue to deliver the best service and outcomes for our clients. You will be working with a team of criminal lawyers including three Accredited Criminal Law Specialists.
Your Day-to-Day Will Involve: Liaising with clients and supporting them with queries. Editing and formatting documents, including preparation of legal documents and correspondence. Electronic filing, managing e-Briefs, and lodging court documents online. General office administration and other ad hoc duties. To Be Successful in This Role, You Will: Have a minimum of 1 year experience in a Paralegal role within law - experience in Criminal law is an advantage. Exhibit a professional approach to work, with exceptional communication skills. Demonstrate maturity in attitude and behaviour, and possess a genuine interest in Criminal Law. Display a high level of enthusiasm, energy, initiative, and commitment to work. Have sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with exposure to legal document management systems being a plus.
