attractive salary packaging benefits.

About us
Wesley Mission is a high profile, multi-faceted Christian organisation making a real difference in the community. We work with the most disadvantaged in our community by providing over 200 services ranging from aged care, homeless services, child and family care, counselling, employment, training and education, and health services.
Our Vision is "A Spirit-led disciple-making movement: doing all the good we can because every life matters".
About the program
Wesley Community Legal Service (WCLS) is an independent specialist legal service supporting clients and their families experiencing problem gambling. WCLS operates state-wide, with a wide network of referral services.
WCLS's service model uses an integrated, holistic approach by combining legal and non-legal services and solutions to address the range of issues clients with gambling issues face. Our focus is on supporting the whole person, not just the presenting legal problem. We do this by working in close collaboration with financial counsellors, gambling counsellors, mental health professionals and community service providers to ensure clients have access to supports they need to optimise client outcomes.
We provide legal advice and representation to clients affected by problem gambling, including advice in relation to criminal law matters, asset protection, bankruptcy, family law, and credit and debt issues. We also provide legal training for gambling and financial counsellors across NSW.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, the role of the Paralegal provides a range of legal services within the internal legal function.

supporting the legal team to manage its contracts and regulatory compliance obligations and manage risk effectively
providing assistance to the General Counsel and Company Secretary on ad hoc legal, governance and compliance matters
preparing first draft of routine commercial contracts (e.g. NDAs, consultancy agreements, services agreements) and reviewing simple commercial contracts
supporting the development of legal operations processes and procedures to deliver efficiencies in legal services
monitoring and advising the legal team of legislative and regulatory changes affecting Wesley Mission and supporting the legal team in implementing those changes within the organisation
preparing and submitting applications to Uniting Church Property Trust for document execution.
