The Opportunity We are looking for an impressive all-rounder to fill this position on a casual basis. Candidates must be available to work at least 2 days per week in our Surry Hills office from 9am to 5pm ideally Monday, Thursday and Friday. (unfortunately it's not possible to work remotely in this role). This opportunity is ideal for a skilled multi-tasker, who can bounce from greeting visitors to researching a legal topic with ease. You don't need to have prior legal experience - just an interest in commercial/business law and a can-do attitude. The successful candidates must be able to demonstrate an ability to effectively determine priorities, operate under pressure, and manage a range of tasks concurrently. You'll be working with sharp, motivated, hard-working teammates in a fun office environment. No two days will ever be the same, we promise! A day in the Life Maintain a neat and tidy office environment Greet visitors warmly and make them feel welcome Process incoming and outgoing mail Monitor office supply levels and procure new items as required Respond to 'Ops Desk' tickets, which may involve: Basic legal research and memo writing Proofreading documents Arranging mail and couriers Compiling documents and binding Filing documents at local courts Assist with basic HR tasks, such as helping to prepare for new starters The Ideal Candidate Interested in corporate and commercial law. Passionate about helping clients: You are dedicated to exceeding client expectations. Personable, empathetic and understanding: A friendly and professional demeanour, as this role will have client-facing elements. Tech savvy: You will be using our innovative in-house technology to assist clients. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills will complement this well. Cool and calm under pressure: The ability to effectively manage competing priorities and solve multiple problems quickly. A law student with impressive grades is ideal.
