About the RoleThis is critical role within the Institutional Capital Reforms Program working with the Collateral workstream. A high priority program that will deliver several major system and process changes in response to the requirements released by APRA under APS 112 and APS 113. These changes will impact on a number of existing ANZ systems and result in significant technology and process changes that will need to be effectively defined, planned, implemented, and adapted by the organisation to ensure compliance with the new requirements.
A key deliverable of the Collateral stream is to undertake an extensive review of our existing global portfolio of clients to assess their existing collateral arrangements and how they are documented and recorded in core systems. The Associate – Regulatory Reform role has been created to undertake a review of Facility Agreements across both Australia and International markets to assess documented Collateral to understand if any uplift within ANZ's core systems is required. This role will work closely with Senior Legal to assess documentation in order to ensure ANZ's Collateral position has been accurately reviewed and stated.

What will your day look like?Under the guidance of the Legal team, you will assist with: Review standard customer agreements and determine documented Collateral and Borrowers.Partner with Legal teams to undertake reviews which contain ambiguous data elements.Prepare (working in partnership with Legal) custom documentation updates for specific clients.Monitor, track and manage status of documentation updates, including providing accurate and complete reporting.Meeting with numerous stakeholder groups across Institutional Banking, Group Risk, and other teams.Reviewing standard agreements and making determination on ANZ's Collateral Position.Undertake discussions with Relationship Managers, R&A partners regarding client specific requirements.Attending and actively contributing to program team meetings, including regular stand ups and team planning sessions.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Paralegal experience.Basic understanding of contract law and strong legal research skills.Strong people skills to build strong and sustainable relationships with various stakeholders.Experience reviewing, preparing, or processing LoO's/ Facility Agreements.Ability to work as part of a large, multifunctional program team delivering to tight deadlines.Ability to work independently.Ability to 'be curious' to problem solve.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
