You'll play a key role in investigating, gathering, and preparing information for advocacy in the Personal Injury Commission and courts.At our firm, known for its expertise in CTP claims, you'll work in a team managed by a highly experienced but approachable partner, with mentoring and support from the broader team of lawyers and paralegals. Some of your key responsibilities will include:Requesting and obtaining medical and other records, including issuing subpoenas for production;Liaising with witnesses, issuing subpoenas to give evidence, and arranging witness conferences;Reviewing medical and other records;Drafting letters of instruction to doctors and experts;Preparing briefs to barristers;Managing files, including diarising and assisting the team adhere to important timeframes.This role provides invaluable experience for anyone interested in personal injury law, and your time as a paralegal will be strongly considered for our National Learning & Development Program for Graduate Lawyers upon your admission.About youThis role is ideal for an experienced paralegal or a law student at any stage of their studies, looking to balance evening or remote studies with a permanent role in the industry.We encourage applications from candidates who have:Availability to work permanent part-time, 4 days/30 hours per week.
