We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and organised paralegal with a growth mindset to join the legal team that supports our Retail Banking group.
This is a casual part-time basis role, two days per week.

What role will you play?
Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility In this role, you will provide both paralegal and administrative support to a broad Australian-based legal team that ensures that legal and regulatory risk is effectively managed across Macquarie's Banking and Financial Services Group.
Under appropriate supervision, you will support our Lawyers with contract review, legal research, and drafting simple precedent-based contract and legal documents such as powers of attorney.
In addition, you will undertake administrative tasks such as filing, contract functions, meeting and presentation materials and preparation, and reviewing various legal documentation.
What you offer Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility Experience working as a paralegal in a busy law firm or inhouse legal team, with demonstrated legal research skills Self-motivation with the ability to work independently in a dynamic and delivery focused team environment Pragmatic mindset, ability to prioritise and perform under pressure in a sometimes-demanding environment Experience in the organisation and management of files, records, and documents in a matter management system such as Sharepoint and Jira.
Strong interest in financial services law, including corporations law, trust law, consumer credit, advertising, privacy and data protection, as well as financial crime.
