Paralegal and Law Clerk Work with NSW's largest legal advisor to NSW Government and its agencies Enhance your career working with industry's legal expert offering career progression opportunities Supportive team environment and flexible working arrangements Classification grade and base salary: Law Clerk: Clerk General Scale, $55,295 - $60,134 Paralegal: Clerk Grade, $70,694 - $76,857 Note: Superannuation and annual leave loading are paid in addition to the base salary.

Work type: Temporary 12 months, with a possibility of extension.

Full-Time – 35 hours per week or Part-Time 21-28 hours per week

About the Role You will provide comprehensive legal, clerical, and administrative support to solicitors and legal teams, including drafting court documents, preparing submissions, and conducting legal research.
You will be responsible for supporting the effective management of legal matters, utilising practice and document management systems to ensure accurate information storage and timely communication.

The Paralegal position is a role for aspiring solicitors who have completed the first two years of their legal studies, with experience working in a professional services environment.

The Law Clerk position is an entry-level role designed for law students who have not yet reached the third year of their studies or do not have experience working in a professional services environment.

The role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders, responding to inquiries professionally, and escalating issues when necessary.
Your work will be crucial in maintaining organisational standards and delivering high-quality legal services to clients.

Law Clerk Paralegal * Successful candidates will be offered a position as a Law Clerk or Paralegal based on their assessment results and prior experience.

Legal services provided by the CSO include:
legal advice representation in litigation representation at inquests and other inquiries property and commercial transactions drafting documents and agreements, including intergovernmental agreements assisting Royal Commissions and other inquiries provision of officers to serve on committees preparing publications training and information for government agencies.
