We are looking for an experience painting trades worker to join their team in Wollongong, New South Wales to assist on the expansion of their business.
Key Responsibilities Assess, sand, fill, smooth, clean, and prime surfaces for optimal paint adherence Perform precise freehand cutting in, apply paint using various tools for a smooth finish, and skilfully apply caulking to fill gaps Completing residential and commercial painting projects for clients of all sizes Trained in applying a wide range of finishes and coatings Review job specifications, plan project steps, track progress, manage materials, handle equipment Ensure work meets high-quality standards, follows client specifications, and addresses any touch-ups or corrections Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace, adhere to safety protocols, properly dispose of waste materials, and store tools securely Communicate effectively with clients, provide excellent customer service, and collaborate with team members.
Supervise and manage the junior workers (part-time, casual workers).
Requirements: Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV in relevant field Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant painting experience Position is available full time, 38 hours/week but applicant must be available for 7 days a week and willing to work odd hours (Weekend & early morning/ late night shifts).
Must have valid drivers licence and own vehicle Construction licence of painter, industry qualifications such as Working at Heights and High-Risk Work Licence for EWP is desirable.
