With studios in Melbourne, Sydney, Shanghai, and now the Gold Coast, Fin Design is expanding their creative team and looking for talented Paint and Roto Artists to join them. We are seeking both graduates and experienced artists who are ready to start as soon as possible .
Role Overview:
As a Paint and Roto Artist for Fin Design + Effects, you will play a crucial role in creating seamless visual effects by removing unwanted elements, performing clean-ups, and preparing high-quality mattes. Whether you're just starting your career or have prior industry experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to work on exciting projects and grow within a leading VFX studio.
Key Responsibilities: Roto Work: Create detailed mattes for compositing, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Paint Tasks: Remove unwanted elements, wire rigs, markers, and other artifacts from live-action footage. Collaboration: Work closely with compositors and other VFX artists to ensure clean, polished shots that meet the project's visual standards. Quality Control: Ensure that all paint and roto work is completed to the highest level of detail, with smooth, realistic results. Time Management: Work efficiently within project timelines and adjust to feedback as needed. Key Requirements: Graduates & Experienced Artists Welcome: We're open to recent graduates with strong portfolios or more experienced artists with proven skills. Technical Skills: Knowledge of industry-standard software such as Nuke, Silhouette, or similar roto and paint tools. Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail, ensuring precision in all roto and paint work. Collaborative Attitude: Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to feedback. Availability: Must be available to start as soon as possible. Preferred Qualifications: A good understanding of the VFX pipeline and production process.
