The Management Accountant will play a pivotal role in our client's Accounting & Finance team, providing insights and analysis to help steer key business decisions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, performance evaluation, cost management, and asset management within an industrial/manufacturing business based in Deeside.

Description
Key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:
Prepare accurate monthly management accounts.
Provide detailed variance analysis and commentary on financial performance.
Assist in annual budget preparation and rolling forecasts.
Monitor and report against budgets, highlighting risks and opportunities.
Analyse production costs, material usage, and labour efficiency.
Maintain and monitor standard costing systems.
Investigate and explain cost variances, recommending improvements.
Work closely with operations teams to provide financial insights.
Support decision-making with cost-benefit analysis and scenario planning.
Monitor cash flow and ensure accurate forecasting.
Optimise inventory, receivables, and payables to maintain healthy working capital.
Support preparation of investor reports and presentations.
Ensure compliance with PE-specific reporting requirements and KPIs.
Enhance financial systems and reporting tools.
Identify and implement efficiency improvements in financial and operational processes.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Support year-end audit processes and manage queries effectively.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
Ideally working towards a professional accreditation such as CIMA or ACCA.
QBE welcome.
Experience in Sage200 would be beneficial.
Ideally available on a shorter notice to gain suitable handover from incumbent.
Proficiency in Excel and financial software programs.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box for solutions.
A strong understanding of accounting and financial principles and practices.
Experience in a manufacturing environment with an understanding of product costing - highly advantageous.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting financial information.
Job Offer
A competitive salary range of £40,000 - £45,000.
28 days annual leave including bank holidays.
Early finish on Fridays (4pm).
Working hours from (Apply online only) with a 1-hour lunch break.
