Job Description This role will give you the opportunity to steer the commercial operations of the business as they grow their Australian function. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Deliver commercial contract outcomes by leading negotiations and minimising risk through contract drafting and establishment of strong vendor relationships. Lead the bids and tenders during the sales process with the view to setting the foundations to deliver successful project execution. Execute a range of commercial activities such as contract drafting, execution, risk management, and management. Work closely with internal teams to ensure commercial project viability in areas such as cost control, budgets, billing, contracts T&C's, and performance through the life cycle of each project. As the in-house subject matter expert, provide a range of legal, commercial, and contractual advice to different parts of the business including sales, finance, and engineering. Lead the full suite of contract activities including execution, variations, dispute management, and general contract advice. The Successful Applicant The successful candidate will have in-depth experience in managing the end-to-end contract lifecycle from pre-award through to completion. You will demonstrate a background in leading bids, tenders, and complex negotiations during the sales and project execution phase of a contract.
You will have a commercial acumen that includes working knowledge of budgeting, cost control, analysis, and modelling. This will extend to aspects such as rise and fall, insurances, and currency fluctuations related to long-term EPC and multi-year asset management service contracts.
Candidates from an EPCM, construction, or industrial contractor background would be set up to succeed in this role.
Importantly, you will demonstrate the ability to work in a start-up environment going through constant change, so being flexible and adaptable will be critical to the success of this role.
