In this role, you'll deliver high-quality specialist paediatric services to patients across this beautiful region, including consultative, inpatient, outpatient, and outreach services.
Our paediatrics department is equipped to support neonatal care, general paediatrics, and behavioural and community health services. You'll work with a collaborative team of Specialists, Registrars, and Junior Medical Officers, and contribute to the training of future medical professionals through our affiliation with the University of Tasmania's Rural Clinical School.

Key attributes: Dedication to delivering exceptional patient care within clinical privileges.A collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams.Enthusiasm for mentoring medical students and junior doctors.Commitment to continuous improvement in healthcare delivery.Contract: Fixed term full-time, working up to 76 hours per fortnight (hours negotiable).Period: Commencing 6 January 2025 to 8 August 2025.Base Salary: $210,000 - $310,349 per annum, pro rata + 11.5% superannuation and other benefits.Incentives and Benefits: $25,758 motor vehicle allowance per annum (pro rata).$16,480 Continuing Professional Development Allowance per annum (pro rata).Leave: 20 days annual leave and personal leave, with study assistance if eligible.Fitness Passport: Access to 40+ facilities across Tasmania for discounted rates.About Us The Department of Health serves a population of 116,000, with major sites.
