Position: Paediatric ConsultantLocation: Northern Region of South AustraliaWork Type: Part-Time (1 day a week, including on-call)Contract: PermanentTotal Indicative Remuneration: $372,783 - $483,861 p.a. (pro-rata) – MD2About the Role:Clinical Duties:Deliver high-quality paediatric care including neonatal resuscitation and general paediatric consultations.Conduct baby checks, rapid access clinics, and general paediatric clinics.Participate in on-call services on a 1:5 rotation, including after-hours coverage.Maintain clinical records and coordinate follow-up care for hospital patients.Engage in clinical audits, safety activities, and service planning meetings.Teaching & Education:Support and contribute to continuing education programs in maternity services.Administrative Duties:Prepare reports and adhere to hospital policies and administrative guidelines.Participate in performance appraisals and mandatory training.Seek leave approval and engage in necessary administrative tasks.Key Requirements:Qualifications:Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) or equivalent.Eligible for registration as a Specialist with the Medical Board of South Australia.Skills & Experience:Extensive experience in paediatric care, including newborns and general paediatrics.Commitment to high standards of medical practice and quality improvement.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.About the Region:Located in a picturesque area of Northern South Australia known for its vibrant community and cultural attractions.The region offers a unique blend of scenic landscapes and local amenities, making it a desirable place to live.Known for its welcoming atmosphere and close-knit community.Offers access to a range of recreational activities and natural beauty.The health network serves a diverse population with a focus on comprehensive care and continuous improvement.Benefits:Salary Package:Includes award salary, managerial allowance, remote call allowance, professional development, and superannuation.Work Environment:Flexible part-time working arrangements.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Job ID: 5234
