Position and Requirements
Hinterland seeks to employ a suitably qualified candidate to fulfill a full-time teaching position as a Secondary Teacher (Grades 7-10).
We are seeking a passionate educator whose care is evident in their manner, communication and relationship with each student.
The position commences in 2025 and is a 0.6 FTE.
Experience in teaching Secondary students is preferred, though graduate teachers with excellent recommendations will also be considered.
Essential Criteria:
An active Christian faith and a passion to instill Christian values that espouse responsibility, respect, reliability and reverence towards God, themselves and others in the community; An ability to program and teach Grades 7-10 students following the Board of Studies Curriculum with demonstrated capabilities against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers; A working understanding of teaching from a Christian world-view and its application; A capacity to undertake routine support tasks across a range of functions in one or more work areas within the school environment; A capacity to communicate effectively with members of the school community including students and the capacity to provide support and/or attendant care to students where necessary; Commitment to the provision of a secure, caring, challenging and positive learning environment for each child; The fostering of a cohesive and supportive Christ-centred community where teachers, parents and students work together for the greater good of each person; A commitment to professional learning and growth.

The successful applicant, therefore, will need to hold and maintain a valid NSW Working With Children Check in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 (NSW).
The commencement of this role will be January 2025.
