Outside School Hours Care Hub Coordinator Columba Cottage Early Learning and Outside School Hours Care – Port Macquarie NSW

We are seeking an exceptional Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Hub Leader to oversee the effective and efficient operation of the Columba Cottage OSHC service. The successful candidate is an individual able to lead and inspire a dynamic OSHC team, focused on play-based learning, and who can inspire your team to continue to create high quality programs in a supportive school community.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the OSHC team, Columba Cottage colleagues, school community, parents, caregivers, allied professionals and community partners. You will ensure the best possible outcomes for children, within a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment, facilitating young children to learn and grow.
The OSHC Hub Leader is a member of the Columba Cottage Leadership Team and as such will communicate progress and involve the voice of families and children in service programs, build positive, respectful relationships, provide active supervision, and ensure a safe environment.
General Responsibilities:
Plan and implement innovative, developmentally appropriate activities and programs for school aged children. Oversee the day to day running of Outside Hours Care and Vacation Care, including but not limited to, staffing arrangements, children's bookings, program implementation and budget delegation. Create a safe and welcoming environment that promotes learning and exploration. Observe and assess children's development and progress, and communicate with parents and caregivers. Provide educational leadership responsive to the needs of the team, children and the program. Maintain accurate records and documentation of children's programs, progress and development (as it applies to OSHC). Develop/maintain strategic documentation to support the maintenance of the service Quality Improvement Plan, Self-Assessment and Service Inclusion Plan. Attend/ facilitate/ host staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in outside school hours care. The Ideal Candidate will have:
A Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a related field. Extensive experience as a Certificate III (Children's Services) qualified leader will also be considered. Experience working in OSHC settings would be desirable, but not essential. Previous leadership experience leading a team or service. Strong leadership, team development and communication skills. A passion for providing high-quality care and education for school aged children. A comprehensive knowledge of the National Quality Framework. Hours of work up to full time will be negotiated. Relevant leadership allowances apply to the position as outlined in the Award. Hours are worked as a mix of "on the floor" and "off the floor" / administrative time. This position is responsible to the Executive Director.
