Selection CriteriaSC1: Demonstrated capacity to manage the work of other staff, showcasing strong administration skills and developing procedures and guidelines related to an OSHC program.
SC2: Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills with children, families, staff, school council and the wider community.
SC3: Demonstrated knowledge of program planning, implementation and evaluation, which allows for differences in children's abilities and needs, including those with additional needs.
SC4: Demonstrated knowledge of and adherence to the National Quality Framework, including the Approved Learning Framework (MY Time, Our Place), National Quality Standards rating system and Education and Care services Laws/Regulations.
SC5: Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the use of computers and OSHC management system software.
RoleThe hours for the role include before school, from 7am - 9am and then after school from 3.20pm - 6pm. Range 3 is distinguished by the introduction of management responsibility and accountability for the delivery of professional support services. The role will usually impact beyond the work area or professional field. It seeks to gain cooperation of other staff members or members of the school community to achieve specific objectives, such as in school administration, operations or educational programs.
Direction on targets and goals is provided but the position will have some degree of latitude in determining how they are achieved. This latitude will generally be limited by standard procedures and school policy. Deviation from standard procedures and school policy will require guidance and direction from senior management.
The provision of business management responsibilities becomes a feature at range 3. Management of staff to achieve the expected outcomes is a key responsibility. Staff management issues will be resolved with minimal reference to senior management, although guidance will be required in more complex cases. Senior management will be provided with timely reports and advice, although this will generally be confined to matters relating to the immediate work area, service provision or educational program and is unlikely to impact substantially on whole of school operations.

Location ProfileMandama Primary School is located in Grovedale (southern suburban area of Geelong) in an established residential area which has an enrolment of 374 students. The school has 17 classes with 2 classes at Prep level, 5 at 1/2, 5 at 3/4, and 5 at 5/6. The school has 35 EFT staff, comprising of the Principal, Assistant Principal, 2 Learning Specialists, 18 classroom teachers, 5 specialist teachers - Visual Arts, Performing Arts/Music, Italian, Physical Education and Digital Technologies.
