Position: Disability Support Team Leader Position Type : Full-Time Salary: $75,195 plus superannuation per annum Location: Myrtle Bank SA 5064 Our client is seeking a Disability Support Team Leader to assist the Site Manager in overseeing and facilitating the daily operations of the facility, ensuring effective service delivery, administrative support, compliance with policies and procedures, and leadership of staff.
This role supports residents with daily needs, manages documentation, and ensures a safe, compliant, and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities: 1.
Administration & Coordination Answer telephone and email inquiries professionally.
Organize and coordinate resident appointments and transportation.
Manage petty cash and resident allowance funds in conjunction with the Proprietors.
Allocate and manage residents' spending money on a daily basis.
Maintain accurate and timely records, including communication diaries, resident files, and incident reports.
Assist with new resident admission processes (e.g., photo documentation, GP and chemist setup).

Resident Support & Care Provide support and assistance to residents, including managing challenging behaviors.
Administer medication from Webster packs as per pharmacy guidelines.
Liaise with residents' families, case managers, doctors, and support staff.
Respond to emergencies, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency services.
Ensure residents are up to date with medication and depot injections.

Financial Management Manage residents' funds in collaboration with the Public Trustee and Proprietors.
Organize and process orders for supplies (e.g., linens, chemist supplies).
Handle NDIS invoicing and remittances.

Leadership & Staff Supervision Maintain staff files and support staff training and development.
Supervise and address day-to-day staff issues, including cooks, cleaners, and support staff.
Conduct staff performance reviews in conjunction with the Proprietors.
Attend and record minutes of manager meetings.
Conduct inductions for new staff and students on placement.

Compliance & Safety Ensure adherence to Ocean Grove's policies, procedures, and NDIS guidelines.
Conduct regular fire drills and ensure emergency preparedness.
Maintain Work Health and Safety standards in accordance with legislative requirements.
Assist in maintaining the facility license by ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Documentation & Reporting Complete and maintain resident care plans, risk assessments, and progress notes.
Prepare and manage tenancy contracts and service plans.
Ensure accurate completion of incident reports and other required documentation.
Send invoices for accommodation payments and coordinate with Centrelink for deductions.
7.
Facility Maintenance Monitor and report maintenance issues.
Ensure cleanliness and order in dining areas and common spaces.
8.
Other Duties Fulfill other duties as requested by management or the Proprietors.
Key Selection Criteria: Qualifications: Certificate III in Disability or equivalent.
Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
Unrestricted Driver's License.
Satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Experience: Five (5) years of Experience working with residents with disabilities or challenging behaviors at leadership role.
Experience in nursing, quality improvement, or audits (desirable).
