Unqualified and Qualified OSHC Educators
Casual position, 5 to 20+ hours per week, permanent part time contracts available CSE 3.1 - 3.3 (Unqualified), CSE 3.4 (Qualified)Supportive and collaborative team environment Our Service We are a not-for-profit OSHC service located on the grounds of Highgate School. We provide high quality care, an engaging program and a welcoming environment for all families and staff. Due to increasing demand from families for places in our service, we are looking to recruit more amazing educators to join our strong team. Our service operates Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care and is licensed to have up to 135 children per session.
The Role Our OSHC educators are dedicated to the high-quality care of each and every child that attends our service. The position is flexible and can work well with study, family or other commitments.
Shifts range from 7:00am to 9:00am for Before School Care, 2:15pm to 6:15pm for After School Care and 7:00am to 6:15pm for Vacation Care.
Qualified Educators must have a Diploma in Children's Services (or equivalent) or have completed 2 years of a Bachelor of Teaching/Education.
The role includes but is not limited to:
Assist in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs for individual children or groups based upon the National Quality Standard and My Time Our Place Learning Framework.Record observations of individual children or groups for program planning purposes.Support in providing an inclusive environment including for children with additional needs and for families.Perform specific tasks including, but not limited to, supervision of children, running of activities, cleaning, and food preparation.Ensure children are safe, secure and their individual needs are met at all times.Ensure that confidentiality is maintained, and privacy of children, parents, students and educators is respected at all times. Provide a welcoming and professional environment for families and team members through the provision of consistently high-quality customer service.Work in accordance with Work Health and Safety, Mandatory Reporting, Emergency Procedures and all Highgate OSHC policies and procedures.
