The Role:
As our Defence and Security project portfolio grows, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Organisation Design and Implementation Specialist to join our team based in Canberra.
This pivotal role will champion innovative approaches to organisational structure, empowering our teams to navigate internal and external challenges effectively.
You will play a key role in shaping our organisational operations, ensuring agility and responsiveness in a rapidly evolving environment.
Responsibilities:
Analyse current structures and processes to identify improvement opportunities while designing innovative organisational frameworks that align with strategic goals.
Collaborate with the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD), Defence Digital Group (DDG), users, and industry partners to ensure alignment and secure support for initiatives.
Lead initiatives to facilitate smooth transitions, addressing concerns and developing actionable plans with clear timelines and milestones for new structures.
Create impactful training programs and provide ongoing support to empower teams, while establishing KPIs to monitor effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
Champion innovation by inspiring new ways of working, setting strategic direction with advanced organisation design methodologies, and planning impactful initiatives.
Define new organisational boundaries and establish performance metrics to create a dynamic framework for future success, ensuring we measure progress effectively.
About you:
Hold a valid NV2 security clearance or higher.
Relevant experience in organisational design, change management, or project management, ideally within the Defence or public sector.
Experience working with government agencies or defence-related organisations can be highly beneficial.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex organisational challenges.
