Multidisciplinary team providing an intake function to vulnerable families10% gap discount for childcare services with Uniting Early Learning servicesIncrease take-home pay with access to $15,900 salary packing benefitsPermanent full time position based at Box HillYour new roleAs an Orange Door Practitioner, working in a multidisciplinary integrated Orange Door agency team, you will deliver quality, safe, and effective responses to children, young people, and families experiencing family violence. You will deliver intake support via phone, within the Orange Door site and through outreach visits.
In addition, you will:
Actively manage a caseloadDeliver screening and triage, assessment, crisis responses, service planning, targeted interventions, allocation and coordinated referralsWork collaboratively to support integrated risk assessment and planningApply for brokerage on behalf of clients when requiredRefer clients to services within the broader service system and provide them information and supportAbout your team / About the programThe Orange Door Program brings together workforces from Community Service organisations, Aboriginal Services, Family Safety Victoria and DFFH, to deliver an integrated practice model and a consolidated intake point for:
Women, children, young people, and families who are experiencing or have experienced family violencePeople who use violenceFamilies requiring support with the care, development and wellbeing of unborn babies, infants, children, and young peopleUniting focuses on providing services to vulnerable families who require extra support with the care, development and wellbeing of unborn babies, infants, children and young people.

You will bring:
Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent as per the mandatory minimum qualification requirements for specialist family violence practitionersExperience, skills, and capabilities in child, youth, and families welfareWell-developed risk assessment and management skillsUnderstanding of the broader service system referral pathwaysSound understanding of the MARAM Framework, Best Interests Principles and the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005Valid and current Driver's LicenseHow to applyClick APPLY to submit your interest.
