The Role As an Ops Consultant within the Claims team you will be responsible for processing, editing, auditing and reassessing claims for Medibank members.
You will be accountable for ensuring that claims are processed accurately and in a timely fashion to ensure the best possible experience for our members and providers.
The Ops Consultant will be accountable for Medibank member claims but also be a positive contributor of the Operations team, through identifying and highlighting opportunities to improve processes.
This is a 6 month fixed-term contract with potential of extension.
Some of your duties include: Process claims accurately and efficiently.
Contact customers/providers where necessary to ensure you have the correct information to process their claim.
Identify and feedback processes/policies to Operations Team Leaders that are impacting your ability to create a great customer experience.
Adhere to set quality metrics to ensure claims are processed within the allocated timeframe.
Own and service escalated inquiries if/when they arise.
Actively engage and contribute to the team and bring a collaborative approach to working together to get things done.
Deliver on the business Key Performance Indicators as stipulated by the Operations Team Leader.
About you Proven and demonstrated ability in a similar role in a customer service/high volume processing environment within a large organisation.
High attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
Ability to create strong relationships with stakeholders.
Skilled using MS Excel and other related applications (Powerpoint, OneNote, Teams).
Any knowledge of health, finance or insurance is desirable but not essential.
Any experience in Data Entry will be beneficial but not essential.
