About your opportunity As the Operator Supply you will undertake a range of duties to ensure continuous and efficient operation of water treatment plants. You will use sound judgement and technical knowledge to ensure supply demand is met, whilst monitoring and testing water quality, chemical dosing and responding to and resolving alarms and equipment faults.
Key responsibilities: Operate, monitor, control and optimise the water treatment processes and maintain specified outcomes as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures by application of skills and experience across multiple water treatment plants.Collect and analyse process samples in accordance with schedule and use initiative to ensure process integrity and optimal operation of treatment processes.Identify equipment faults, evaluate options and implement changes or contingency plans to maintain satisfactory plant operation. Initiate corrective actions using the appropriate work request system.Accurately compile and record plant operational data on a daily basis including completing the plant log and recording of shift events and incidents. When required or requested, complete written reports.Report all breakdowns, spillage and abnormal occurrences to ensure problems are resolved promptly and information is accurately recorded. Take appropriate actions to prevent problems from occurring and to maintain water quality and quantity.About you To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Certificate II or higher in Water Industry Operations or deemed equivalent experience.Possess a C class Drivers Licence for a manual vehicle.This position has a base salary range of $72,073 - $91,622 dependant on experience p.a. plus 12.75% superannuation. Overtime and allowances may also apply. Appointment to this role is subject to the provision of a national police check and may be subject to other medical/character requirements.
