About the role Viterra is looking for hardworking, enthusiastic, and focused individuals who are not afraid to get their hands dirty.
We have a permanent full-time and a permanent part-time position based in our Roseworthy group.
These roles are responsible for the daily operations of the site, including loading and unloading trucks, operation of hoppers, stackers, and forklifts, maintaining bunkers, grain sampling, and general cleaning duties.
This role will be part of a supportive team environment during the harvest season and will work closely with the seasonal workforce.
Viterra has a dedicated safety culture where you will follow strict safety procedures to maintain a safe work site ensuring the safety of yourself and others around you.
Duties may include but are not limited to: Loading and unloading trucksForklift and loader operationsGrain classification and quality controlResponsible for keeping grain storage areas cleanGrid attendant and manual grain handling work tasksMonitoring of bunkers, tarps, and silosTraining and leading seasonal staffMaintenance of site and equipmentPest managementAbout you Work well in a team environment with the ability to learn quickly and accept new challengesStrong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skillsProven effective leadership and team building skillsKnowledge of commodity classification preferred but not essentialPrevious grain handling experience is preferred but not essentialBy joining Viterra's operations, you can experience varied, active work where the day goes by quickly and less or no time at a desk.
