Sustainable Energy Infrastructure ("SEI") is a portfolio of ~30 small scale generation and distributed energy assets operating in various locations in four states across Australia with the head office for SEI located in Adelaide.
Due to the expansion of our operation, we are seeking a candidate for the newly created position of Operations Supervisor.
Role & Responsibilities The primary responsibility for the Operations Supervisor role is to oversee the operations of a portfolio of Energy Assets (PV and BESS) within the SEI business (across the NEM).
This includes overseeing construction of new projects (PV and BESS) being built within the SEI portfolio (across the NEM).
You are required to ensure commercial outcomes are met in accordance with financial budgets and maintain proactive management of operating costs and capital investment in the assets.
You will have proven success in developing and maintaining key relationships (commercial, contractual and personal) with key customers, suppliers, landowners and counterparties.
You will also have responsibility for:
Site Ensuring that all site operations (commercial, technical, HSE) are managed in accordance with best practice to ensure that SEI's deliverables to it's customers are met while maximising the return to SEI. Overseeing delivery of new projects during construction ( Contractors As the primary contact with the contractors (or other relevant counterparty) you will manage the ongoing operation of the facilities. Regularly liaising with contractors (or other relevant counterparty) to ensure that SEI is delivering on their expectations. Health, Safety & Environment Ensuring that all SEI HSE policies and standards are adhered too on site. Providing proactive HSE leadership to site contractors as required. Encouraging the sharing of skills and experience and contributing to the success of the business at all levels, in a way that is vital and authentic. Team Actively participate in SEI wide knowledge sharing with other SEI personnel. Actively provide input into future Business Development opportunities by way of identifying leads, participating in due diligence processes and customer contract extensions. The proven skills and qualities you require for your success in the Operations Supervisor include:
Minimum 5 years experience post qualification in relevant Energy Industry disciplines including trade or engineering. Demonstrated knowledge of electrical and generation infrastructure and associated network operation. Willingness to develop Asset Management capabilities as well as an understanding of best and emerging practices. Understanding of Project Management capabilities as well as an understanding of best and emerging practices. Demonstrated experience in overseeing maintenance and operating systems, procedures and policies. Willingness to develop commercial acumen (financial and legal). Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with a wide range of people and takes the opportunity to position SEI with external stakeholders and customers. Experience in managing and overseeing contractors. A high level of interpersonal skills, including strong teamwork.
