About UsCollege Operations offers comprehensive service and support across all Schools within the Colleges, as well as key functions in the academic and research areas. As a dynamic, multiskilled, and digitally proficient team, it provides technical, operational, project, and support services to both academics and researchers. This enables the University to achieve its two core goals: advancing student success and driving research excellence.
The RoleAs part of the Operations Team supporting the College of Law, Arts and Social Sciences, the Operations Officer handles College operations functions and provides thorough and effective administrative support for research, teaching, and workload functions within the College.
This role plays an integral part within the team working on tasks such as:
People administration processes including academic casual contract entry, timesheet administration, recruitment support, onboarding of new employees, and exiting of staffFinancial administration processes associated with purchasing and reimbursement requestsSupport the management of assets, vehicles, keys, access, and space across the collegesSupport to non-regulated committees as appropriate, including the preparation and management of agendas, dissemination of meeting papers, taking notes, and preparation of minutesWhat you'll bring to this roleRelevant work experience and/or education/trainingExperience in business operational support or office administrationHigh level of computer literacy and proficiency in the production of high-level work using software such as Microsoft OfficeOrganisational, time, and workload management skillsHighly effective communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact constructively and collaborativelyApplicants should refer to the Position Description for further details on the work requirements, duties, skills, and experience required for this role.
