Management (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Full time JPS is the leader in providing Integrated Asset Operations, Maintenance and Project Services to the Energy Industry nationally. The role of the Operations Manager is to support the JPS business operations in Western Australia, across our portfolio of clients and assets. You will drive operational excellence while upholding JPS's values and standards.
Key Responsibilities:Operational Management Experience:Proven experience in managing business operations across multiple projects, assets, or clients.Prior leadership experience in industries like construction, engineering, energy, or similar sectors would be highly regarded.Experience in overseeing operational changes or transitions in fast-growing organisations is highly desirable.Client Relationship Management:Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.Ability to effectively represent the business to the highest level, ensuring confidence and trust.Project & Resource Management:Experience in overseeing teams, coordinating resources, and managing timelines across various projects and locations.Expertise in delivering work on time and within scope while managing challenges that arise during project execution.Business Competence:Knowledge or expertise in technical aspects of the business (e.g., bids, proposals, and estimates), allowing them to get into the details and provide valuable solutions.Strong financial acumen to manage budgets, forecasts, and cost control for operations in WA.Technical Competence:Practical knowledge and understanding of complex hydrocarbon operations including LNG and offshore operations is highly regarded.A working knowledge of Process Safety and Personal Safety risk management as it applies to Major Hazard Facilities and remote work environments is essential.Recruitment & People Management:Experience in recruiting, mobilising, and managing teams in fast-paced environments.Understanding of workforce planning and development to support operational needs across projects.Ability to manage and mentor teams through organisational growth, change management, and transitions.Skills & Attributes:Strong Communication Skills:Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities to engage with clients and team members at all levels.Able to listen actively and respond in a thoughtful, professional manner.Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:A proactive approach to identifying challenges and developing solutions, with a strong ability to make decisions under pressure.Capable of balancing technical and people-focused solutions when addressing issues.Integrity & Professionalism:Demonstrates high levels of integrity and professionalism in all interactions, ensuring ethical decision-making that aligns with JPS's values.Leadership & Influence:Ability to lead by example, influencing teams and clients with a strong sense of purpose, accountability, and drive.Comfortable working with and guiding both internal teams and external stakeholders.Adaptability & Resilience:Able to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment, juggling multiple projects and priorities without losing focus on long-term goals.Attention to Detail:A keen eye for detail to ensure that all work, proposals, and operational processes meet the high standards expected by JPS.Business Growth Mindset:Ability to identify and seize growth opportunities, champion new initiatives, and drive business growth in the WA market.A collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams, ensuring smooth operations and project success.Scope of the Role:Reporting to the GM Operations,Responsible for all Operations in Western Australia.Your application will include the following questions:
